Just the Ticket

Starting with myself, I am still paying off a large amount of gambling debt, to which I added a sizable ambulance bill for my stay at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center to remove my gall bladder and deflame my pancreatitis (you can read all about it in  Back From the Hospital ). The fallout of 2021, which you can read about at the beginning of  Back From Burnout? (MCU Edition) , did not have me starting out 2022 on a coherent or ambitious note. But with some academic pivoting (and the pancreatitis scare putting my life into perspective), I slowly made a comeback, did my best to keep on a routine with both my academics (now in Marketing, rather than Accounting) and my posting, such that I reached heights that I had not experienced since 2015. I've been hearing about The Retaliators  for months now (thanks to Skratch 'n' Sniff's The Retaliators  Halloween Movie Mix ), and not only did I finally get the opportunity to watch it, but I listened to The Retaliators  Soundtrack as well. And guess what? The Retaliators  is a Christmas horror movie! So what better way to celebrate Christmas and cap off my thirteen-day  Countdown to TixMas  special than by reviewing The Retaliators  and its soundtrack!? As I said last time , I struggled with the best way to review these two pieces of media without spoiling one or the other, as many of the songs on the soundtrack are played at key moments in the movie, and snippets of dialogue from the movie are used to introduce some songs on the soundtrack. Much like how Adrian Monk refers to his OCD , it's been both a gift...and a curse for the Countdown to TixMas , and for myself. It's been a gift because I have been struggling for several days as to the best way to review The Retaliators and its soundtrack without spoiling one or the other or deflating the significance of my chosen Christmas Day review, and now, I don't have to. I couldn't get tickets to Violent Night So in today's Just the Ticket , I review that movie, but light. It stars a troubled director with Passion And a Justified  actor who's always in fashion. Like and comment, as I know that you can, And read on as I review 2020's Fatman ! Fatman 's plot is pretty simple: 2020 was a terrible year that inflated the Naughty List and drove Santa's operation into a recession (along with every other business), and a rich, entitled asshole with bad hair who mistreats his family and house staff (a child character in the movie, not the actual, living person you're thinking of...) sends a toy-obsessed hitman to kill Santa when he receives coal for Christmas.
