I love the title of this week's episode of Loki . The episode itself is pretty awesome, too. But before I tell you Ticketholders and all of your Variants about that, here's my usual title-related lesson: Journey Into Mystery  was a horror comic by Marvel precursor Atlas Comics. As the decades changed, it moved into subject matter such as giant monsters, science fiction, and then mythology, specifically "The Mighty Thor," wherein his villains were also introduced, like the Executioner (Karl Urban in the MCU), the original Enchantress, and our current "mischievous scamp," Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Good morning, Ticketholders! Apologies for being late with this issue of Timely Thorsday . Work has been experiencing a sudden negative flow of human resources recently, disrupting the natural order of things and creating...let's be optimistic and call them "new opportunities." As a result of these "new opportunities," I and many at my place of work are experiencing increased levels of stress and fatigue, and as such, I lacked the drive to think out and crank out a full review article at 9:00pm after spending half of my day finding places for new freight that my assigned department had no space for, cooking too much food for people who weren't buying it for various reasons that I should have taken less personally than I do, clawing my way out from underneath several piles of unwashed dishes, and hand-writing prices and product descriptions on everything I did sell because the label printer decided to suck at printing halfway through my shift. Greetings and guess what, Ticketholders!? Streaming Saturday has a new name again! I was planning on Loki dropping on a Friday like WandaVision  and Falcon and The Winter Soldier  had before it, but it arrived on Disney+  on a Wednesday, so in a nod to Norse mythology and day name origins (assuming future episodes don't move back to a Friday release schedule, that is), this column shall be dubbed Timely Thorsday  for the remainder of Loki 's weekly debut.
