Heroines Are Made #14: Well-Armed

Image
It's been over a month since I posted anything on here. That's my one and only New Year's resolution down the tubes. The reason is that I have been working on my novel again, and, of course, reading the GFT comics. Inspiration finally struck me and I began trying to re-work this character into something I was happy with. I created her before joining the Heromachine forums last year, and I submitted her for a Gods contest several weeks after I joined. Unfortunately, she was rejected because the moderators deemed her inspiration to be too mainstream for the rules of the contest. Here, with a few pose tweaks, a kick-ass weapon, and a bit of shading, is my Four O'Clock character from Clockwork, the four-armed warrior princess named Tetra-Ka'Li. She is based on the Hindu goddess of destruction and rebirth (and a little bit on Four-Arms from the Ben 10  Universe). Name: Tetra Alias: Tetra Ka'Li Team Affiliations: Clockwork, Soul Survivors Race: Ka'Lian Birth

Cover Charge #3: Grimm Fairy Tales

As I work on my Elemental Witches series of characters through Heromachine, I have been reading Zenescope Entertainment's Grimm Fairy Tales  comic book series as a means of finding inspiration. Following the order of release found here , I have just finished reading Unleashed #0 - The Game , and I thought I would provide you with a review of the "Grimm Universe" thus far. Each seductive, pin-up-quality cover of Grimm Fairy Tales  hides a portion of the story of Sela Mathers, a literature professor in possession of a mysterious book of fairy tales which she uses to try to help select people she comes across, in a moral-of-the-month kind of format. Eventually, we find out Sela isn't the only person with a book of fairy tales. Belinda, a long-time rival of Sela's, is using her own book to recruit an army of special humans under the banner of her employer, a devil-like being called "The Dark One." Unbeknownst to Sela, Belinda has repeatedly manipulated her

Witches Are Made #13: How About A Little Fire?

Yo, Heromachiners and Ticketholders! Yes, I have been reduced to 1990s slang greetings this morning, so feel free to stick out your tongue a growl a little when you ask me "wazzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap" with that. Strap into your high-top fades, Hammer pants, and wallet chains, fire up some sample-era hip-hop or Lillith Fair indie chick-folk, and get ready for the latest character from my cranium. When I posted this latest character over at Heromachine five days ago, it was late at night and I didn't feel like writing another creative introduction, linking in a picture, or pasting and formatting a character profile on so little sleep. I love Once Upon A Time , the original Wizard Of Oz , and have recently begun reading Zenescope's Grimm Fairy Tales  comic books for character inspirations. Drawing upon the first two, I have continued the Elemental Witch character series I began with Tempora and Alice Gladwell to bring you a Wicked Witch-based Witch of Fire as follows
