Just the Ticket #138: Bunnyman

Image
Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a The Ticketmaster. Happy Easter, Ticketholders! At least, it will be if you decide not to watch the Bunnyman  movies. Well, maybe one or two are good. There's also an urban legend from the Virginia/D.C./Maryland area about a guy (or his ghost) in a rabbit costume who kills people with various non-chainsaw weapons near the Colchester Overpass. But that has nothing to do with the movies besides the name, costume, and supposed "true story" inspirations. If you are inspired by the true story that is my content creation hobby, please remember to  Become A Ticketholder  if you haven't already, fertilize the comments section at the bottom of this post because it needs to be resurrected, help out my ad revenue as you read, and hop over to follow me on  Tumblr ,  Reddit ,  Facebook , and  LinkedIn  to like what you see and receive the freshest rabbit eggs of news on my content.  Let's suit up and jump right in, shall we?        Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. the Ticketmaster Greetings, Ticketholders! March is almost over, and as we head into Easter, I'm all caught up for the holiday. I also got my Marketing Degree and my tax refund on the same day, so there's nothing but good news coming my way, and yours. I feel like that should worry me.... But as usual, I will keep the year-in-content list at the end of these posts going forward, in addition to these weekly announcements. So please read beyond the weekly content calendar for more information on the year to come, and remember to comment at the bottom of this post,  Become A Ticketholder  because I  know  you haven't already, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on social media at the links below to like what you see and to receive the latest news on my content and calendars thereof. Just the Ticket #137: 65

Image
Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. the Ticketmaster The title of the movie up for thrashing--I mean, "up for review"--in today's special issue of  Just the Ticket  is 65 , which refers to the time of the extinction of the dinosaurs roughly sixty-five million years B.C. For those who don't know, the B.C. abbreviation means "before Christ," and Sunday is Easter, the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ that is commercially represented by pagan fertility symbolism like rabbits, chicks, and eggs (and specifically, a rabbit that somehow lays eggs even though that's not how rabbits or the majority of mammalian species work). So there's my six degrees on why I'm reviewing what I'm reviewing today. If you enjoy my content, please remember to  Become A Ticketholder  if you haven't already, fertilize the comments section at the bottom of this post because it needs to be resurrected, help out my ad revenue as you read, and hop over to foll

GFT Retrospective #60: Queen Of Hearts vs. Mad Hatter

Image
Article by Sean Wilkinson, Marching Madly March is the month when teams of college students who are good at putting large, orange orbs in bottomless cotton mesh baskets face off against each other, all the while running a lot, sweating a lot, making the floor go "squeak!" a lot, and also stopping the opposing team of students from a different college from putting the orange orb in the bottomless cotton mesh basket a greater number of times than them. This happens in a tournament format known as March Madness, and because today is New Comic Book Day, there is a March Hare in Wonderland, and Zenescope did a Tales From Wonderland  where the Mad Hatter fights (?) the Queen Of Hearts for the anthology series' finale, that's what I'm reviewing today! So if you get a wild Hare, please remember to  Become A Ticketholder  if you haven't already, March down to the comments section at the bottom of this post to share your madness, help out my ad revenue as you read, and

One Piece Multi-Piece #3: Sky Island & The Foxy Pirates

Image
Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. Master Of the Tickets I have nothing clever to say, nothing personal to share, and I'm on a crunch because I've been sleeping almost as much as Zoro and Luffy combined, now that I don't have any academic responsibilities other than eventually paying back my loans. So let's continue our search for the One Piece  and set sail for this issue by remembering to  Become A Ticketholder  if you haven't already, commenting at the bottom of this post, helping out my ad revenue as you read, and joining my Crew on  Tumblr ,  Reddit ,  Facebook , and  LinkedIn  to like what you see and receive the latest snail transmissions of news on my content. There was an entire season of filler after the Baroque Works and Alabasta material, but the story proper resumes with the Straw Hat Crew having fled from the Marines and getting lost when Nami's wrist-mounted Log Pose begins pointing straight up, as if the next island on their journey through the G

Time Drops #45: Week of March 24, 2024

Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. the Ticketmaster Greetings, Ticketholders! March is almost over, and as we head into Easter, I've watched the movie that will be up for review in this Friday's Just the Ticket , as well as both cuts of the original Bunnyman  (and you'll see on Sunday how badly I am dreading the sequels after watching the first one twice). Also, I am considering not doing my planned April Fools Day prank for reasons that I will make clear on the day. No workplace drama to really vent about here because things have gotten back to "normal." As usual, I will keep the year-in-content list at the end of these posts going forward, in addition to these weekly announcements. So please read beyond the weekly content calendar for more information on the year to come, and remember to comment at the bottom of this post,  Become A Ticketholder  because I  know  you haven't already, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on social media at t

Anime Spotlight #30: Black Clover - Sword Of the Wizard King

Image
Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. The Animeister, Pushing Past My Limits. In the series review , I noted a few of the more bizarre uses of magic in the Black Clover  world, as well as the fight animation being that Gainax flavor of simple yet flashy and epic (despite Black Clover  being animated by Studio Pierrot , rather than Gainax, but there's no denying the Trigger precursor's effect on animation styles from all cultures). What I forgot to mention while I was bashing how generic, unsubtle, confusing, annoying, basic, and ultimately disappointing the Black Clover  anime was, is just how cool the magic system is. It's kind of absurd because the basic idea is "take noun, put 'magic' after it," like if Avatar: The Last Airbender  didn't stop at the four elements and people could bend dreams or mirrors or space or something as mundane as sheep, paper, or keys. There's an entire family in Black Clover  (the Vermillions) where each member can do som

Anime Spotlight #29: Black Clover

Image
Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. the Animeister Beware the Ides Of March , Ticketholders! They signify misfortune and doom, like when you have to come into work unexpectedly because two of your co-workers called in sick and your boss' uncle died, screwing up your content creation and scheduling plans for the morning so that you snap awake in the dead of night thinking, "Oh, shit! I have to write a review of Black Clover for Monday!" But also you have to write up the content calendar for the week first because it's Friday and that has to be up by Saturday morning. Or, you know, important stuff like the assassination of Julius Caesar and the fall of an entire empire because Jesus and King Arthur didn't exist yet to give him any points of reference that his closest ally might betray him. Which makes Sun Tzu an asshole because if Caesar hadn't allowed Brutus to get so close to him, he wouldn't have had Brutus as an enemy, and he might have lived a bit

Time Drops #44: Week of March 17, 2024

Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. the Ticketmaster Greetings, Ticketholders! The Ides Of March have been unkind to me this week, which is why I am late editing and releasing this content calendar. I was seriously considering not writing a Black Clover  review for this week (but St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow, and clovers, so I'm going to do it anyway) because it's been so long since I watched it and I can't do a proper Anime Spotlight  because I haven't seen the movie yet. As usual, I will keep the year-in-content list at the end of these posts going forward, in addition to these weekly announcements. So please read beyond the weekly content calendar for more information on the year to come, and remember to comment at the bottom of this post,  Become A Ticketholder  because I  know  you haven't already, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on social media at the links below to like what you see and to receive the latest news on my content and c

Just the Ticket #136: Identity (List Lookback)

Image
Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. The Ticketmaster Who Wasn't There. Beware the Ides Of March , Ticketholders! This is one of my better planned review schedulings, and one of my more cringeworthy puns to stretch it into existence, because the movie up for consideration as March's Just the Ticket List Lookback  is the 2003 crime thriller/psychological horror film, Identity . "Identity" starts with I-d-e, it's March, and the Ides Of March fall on today's date, so there you go. Also please go remember to  Become A Ticketholder  if you haven't already, comment at the bottom of this post, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on  Tumblr ,  Reddit ,  Facebook , and  LinkedIn  to like what you see and receive the latest news on my content. Now, let's check in and get this Lookback  going to see if this movie's unique identity holds up twenty-one years later, or if it's become disassociated with age. Also, huge SPOILERS ahead, so go watch I
