Content Calendar Announcement, Week of May 11, 2025 |
by Sean Wilkinson,
a.k.a. The Chronologically Confused Ticketmaster.
Happy Birthday to me, Ticketholders, and thank you to everyone who has provided me your readership for the past hundred weeks of Time Drops!
I had my birthday last week, but I'm still waiting on my present, so I'm still celebrating, if you want to call it that.
As for the "chronologically confused" part, I just realized while I was writing this that I had planned to wait another week to release my Psychopath (1973) and Maniac 2: Mr. Robbie combined review, and I ended up finishing and accidentally publishing it yesterday. So I went back and looked at last week's Time Drops and saw that I hadn't put the review in the schedule, so that has now been updated, along with removing any references to the week 3 release.
Also, at the end of yesterday's review, I said that I would be watching and reviewing both Maniac and The Last Horror Film this coming week (because I got chronologically confused and didn't realize I still had another week to go before May was over). Instead, I will just be revewing Maniac (1980) this coming Friday, The Last Horror Film the following week, and finishing off May with the Maniac remake.
Turning 40 was a milestone, but I think 41 is where the real senility is starting to take effect (and it didn't help that I'm anxious about that gift delay). Sorry for the dumpster fire that is my brain this month.
Moving on to my chore update, I devoted a day off to dismembering weeds with a mini helicopter on a stick until the battery died, so now I'm covered in angry bites from insects that I can't see because I chopped down their homes. If anyone has a suggestion for a good topical bug spray and/or a lawn-safe weed killer that actually does what it claims on the label, drop me a comment.
And finally, the contractor we spoke with came back for his final load of our excess gravel. He didn't end up needing all of it, so we still have some extra hanging around, but what he could do for us was a major help. Shoutout if he somehow ends up reading this.
Work hours are now dropping off again because the store has to invest its budget in new people who've never had a job before instead of giving hours to established workers like me who need the income, so I guess I'm back to yard work and writing until I get hungry or tired. Which is good in a way because I'm coming up on the end of my pre-scheduled Anime Spotlight content that I wrote in January, and there are a bunch of series that I need to catch up on so that I can do what I have planned for August.
You can still expect the Punk Hazard issue of the One Piece Multi-Piece some time in June, though. This is a promise.
Fleeting as it can be (especially with me losing my mind about a few things this week) and as inconsequential as my place in things is, I ask that you at least trust me on that, and please remember to comment at the bottom of my Blogger posts, Become A Ticketholder because I know you haven't already, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on social media at the links below to like what you see and to receive the latest news on my content and calendars thereof.
Here it is:
- Monday (May 12) - Anime Spotlight #47: SHY (2025 Update)
- Wednesday (May 14) - GFT Retrospective #94: The Gates Of Limbo
- Thursday (May 15) - TBT '25 (on BlueSky, Tumblr, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn): Thor: The Dark World
- Friday (May 16) - Just the Ticket #178: Maniac (1980)
- Saturday (May 17) - Time Drops #101: Week of May 18, 2025
Though I've yet to make any progress, I'd still like to cut together an e-book of my
GFT Retrospective reviews through the Dream Eater Saga material, with Zenescope's blessing.
Ticketmaster,
Out.
