Vampires Are Made #24: Lillianna
Article by Sean Wilkinson,
Revived HeroMachiner.
You might have noticed in my last post that the banner images are doing kind of a character select thing. Also, that said "select portraits" look like AI, and nothing like the HeroMachine designs I have created.
You would be correct in your observations, because Kindroid (the program I used to partially draft the chat log that serves as the base text for what you'll see in under a week) requires character avatars for the chat models and boasts an image generation feature. As HeroMachine was stuck in "Flash is dead" territory at the time and I was only using Kindroid to build chat lore (the narrative version of I Reincarnated As Prey In A Fantasy World, So I Charmed the Vampire Queen is coming on Monday), I used said feature and came up with photorealistic portraits of the four vamps. For fun later, I ran them through an anime filter and got what you see at the top of each of these posts.

Lillianna's HeroMachine design (crafted in the program, in two days, by me, not using AI outside of the aforementioned images I used for inspiration) is based on Aeon Flux, fashion-wise.
Despite having pointed ears, she was once human, so rather than incorporating vampiric features like fangs or the Queen's silvery hair, I took liberties with her original design based on things I wrote into the narrative and her bio (seen below), such as her affinity with the Thirst, her history of abuse as a mortal, and her big, gnarly sword.
I could have gone all-in on giving her design more scars and outfitting her with strapped-on weapons, but less is more (unless you're talking about available time and energy; that's where less is less), and who doesn't like a massive, nasty-looking anime sword?
Alias: Sword Of the Queen, Lily
Allies: Queen Dara, Isolde, Mirabelle, Break (maybe?).
Enemies: Humanity (including Break?), anyone else she views as prey, anyone who threatens her Queen and family.
Race: Vampire (former human)
Birthplace: Unknown, presumably a village bordering Tenebrous.
Powers/Abilities: Immortality and supernatural speed, strength, and senses as a Thirst-afflicted vampire, skilled with various bladed weapons, hand-to-hand combat, hunting and tracking, and various interrogation and torture methods.
Bio: Though she would never admit it to a "lesser creature," Lillianna didn't always have a sadistic, mysanthropic streak. Life in the borderlands exposed her to the worst humanity had to offer, twisting her once innocent soul for the benefit of the greedy, violent, and depraved, as she was subjected to treatment too disturbing to put in words. In Lillianna's mind, her resulting hatred of those who were once her kind gave her a free license of hypocrisy to repay them in terror of equal measure. She would become an object of their desire...and their fear; they would beg for death for as long as she chose to deny it.
Eventually, Lillianna would cross paths with the Vampire Queen of Tenebrous, who was intrigued by her bloodlust (recognizing it as a Thirst of sorts) and offered to be her sire, which she obviously accepted.
Thereafter, Lillianna would be known and feared across the realms as the Sword Of the Queen, Dara's personal enforcer, huntress, and inquisitor in matters where...indelicacy was required. She yields to none but her Queen, who gave her what she believes is her means of transcending the humanity she despises.
But now, she and her new kind are presented with a strange human male possessed of the instinct to see through her (and maybe the power to give her a proper challenge...or worse, remind her what it means to be a helpless pawn of man).
I know AI is a sore subject these days, Ticketholders, but I hope you continue to support me and what I do by Becoming A Ticketholder (none of you have yet), leaving a comment at the bottom of this post and any others you have opinions about, helping out my ad revenue as you read, and following me on BlueSky, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Patreon, and LinkedIn to like what you see and receive the latest news on my content.
Next will be the obsessive mad scientist Bride, Mirabelle, so Stay Tuned to see if I can produce three more characters of satisfactory quality before Monday, or if October will end on less-than-hallowed terms.
