Time Drops #145: Month Of June, 2026

As of Friday evening (which Blogger counts as Saturday morning because time zones exist), it is still May for one more day, but the month I get older has gone far beyond my expectations in terms of views, despite my professional life seeing to it that I have very little to give on a daily basis because I now supervise a man-child who insists on giving me the size, shape, and color every time he goes to the bathroom (which is three times per shift if I'm lucky), can't read, can't remember anything, can't multitask or understand directions, interprets jokes with the same level of comprehension as Drax the Destroyer, can't gender voices by sound, doesn't know how to use a phone, probably doesn't have a Food Handler card, and once asked me if anyone is working in the department he's working in. So I'm peachy-fucking cheeks at the moment; thanks for asking.
But I was talking about Just the Ticket's analytics boom this month, which, as you can see, more than doubled my long-standing goal of ten thousand views, and even surpassed my previous most successful month, April 2024 (21,543 views).
So, yet another big thank you to my (growing) reading/sharing audience for continuing to be the best pseudo-silent minority on the internet, being who you are, and doing what you do.
The final May 2026 tally will be posted in my first June...post, at which point I will have reset my goal for the new month.
The Road to 10k Views per month is a path I resolve to travel as many times as possible this year, and I'm glad to not be walking it alone.
But June will be less about filling the days with things I have to do, and more about giving time to things I want to do.
That means only one Anime Spotlight and one TBT '26 (on a HeroMachine character!) because I don't want to spoil the Unleashed and Age Of Darkness events for all of you Retrospective/Omnibusted fans out there, so the main foci will be on said Zenescope content and the Goj-Year-ra project.
Speaking of HeroMachine, I know that I promised in my Bad Girls review to have a review of the Phoenix Edition by the end of the month, but it didn't happen, and I'm not going to just fart something out tomorrow to keep a promise, so those spare days I have in June will be devoted to using the program for my milestone project and making notes so that I actually can have a review of it by the end of the month...of June. I mean, I liked the first two when they came out almost thirty years ago, which is why the third one disappointed me so much that I only ever watched it once and didn't even want to watch it for this review (but I watched the Children Of the Corn franchise and most of The Curse movies, so it's nothing by comparison). Anime Spotlight #50: My Hero Academia (2025 Update)

When I originally began this update in late January, the fourth My Hero Academia film had not been made available to stream anywhere, so I was content to merely continue where my thoughts on Season Six left off originally and wrap up this post with Season Seven. Then, I realized that I was too far removed from those seasons for my review to sound or feel like anything but a Wikipedia summary, so I pushed things back to May so I could rewatch them, except that I was already working on my  Fishman Island and Punk Hazard reviews, so I didn't have time to do that, and there was all that stress surrounding my phone , and Vigilantes started airing...so I pushed things back again , deciding that I would set a hard deadline of August once I knew Vigilantes had ended and the fourth movie was available on streaming. Zenescope - Omnibusted #36: Wonderland Volume One

As I begin November in need of some downtime to consume more media, get ahead of my December content (I'm halfway through Rascal Does Not Dream Of Santa Claus , and drafting its review, which is why I've just started editing this Omnibusted compilation the Monday before publication), and prepare for the very real possibility that Presidential stubbornness and partisan warfare will take a chainsaw to my financial stability because the majority population of my county, and my employer's customer base (who openly support, and voted twice for, the Great Pumpkin—there are multiple prominent signs in my town to that effect that would likewise benefit from a good chainsawing) are on government assistance (which no longer exists because no one currently in power has ever won Jenga before), I once again find myself at a loss for words when it comes to a proper editing job that requires more effort than the average ComiXology Trad...
