Time Drops #96: Week of April 13, 2025

Content Calendar Announcement,
Week of April 13, 2025

by Sean Wilkinson,
a.k.a. The Tired Ticketmaster.

I apologize, Ticketholders! Again!
But this week, it wasn't my brain that was a mess. I still had to live at the mercy of someone else's brain-mess, though.
I'm just a forty-soon-to-be-something grocery store employee, but it seems like a service business should anticipate customer need based on analytics trends (customer traffic, event and holiday spikes, etc.) and schedule according to need rather than an arbitrary, money vs. hours formula. Being tactical rather than greedy (or rather, being tactical first; let's be realistic about how business works) in this way keeps customers happy with shorter wait times in line (and lines short enough that a store can still function smoothly and a given department isn't able to turn the last customer around and serve them more stuff...it's happened), and employees who are happier and feel more work/life stability from not being overworked and/or watching the Trump economy happen to their paychecks from frequent, random cuts in hours. Oh, and a manager who has the ability to order things properly so the company doesn't incinerate the little profit margin it has on redundant stock, and schedule properly so that a needy dumbass like me doesn't lose two of his days off to a repeated scheduling error.
So, yeah; very little of the time I expected to spend writing the Punk Hazard review was actually afforded to me, so I'm not even going to try with the "maybe this week, but definitely next week, guys, I promise!" Yeah, Punk Hazard is not happening this month. I've got some Easter AniMonday content planned for the last two weeks of April instead, so look forward to that when the Anime Spotlight returns.
Also, because of all of that (and because Vampire Survivors dropped a new content update that is either hard as balls or I'm bad and tired from working ten days in a row and trying to play a video game for eight and a half hours straight after my worst food service shift in months), I once again passed out from exhaustion after work and am "oh, shit!"-ing this post out at three in the morning the day of release.

Again, I promise Punk Hazard won't be the point of procrastination that Fishman Island was.

Fleeting as it can be and as inconsequential as my place in things is, I ask that you at least trust me on that, and please remember to comment at the bottom of my Blogger posts, Become A Ticketholder because I know you haven't already, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on social media at the links below to like what you see and to receive the latest news on my content and calendars thereof.
Here it is:
  • Wednesday (April 16) - Zenescope - Omnibusted #30: The Dream Eater Saga
  • Thursday (April 17) - TBT '25 (on BlueSkyTumblrRedditFacebookInstagramYouTube, and LinkedIn): Grown-Ups 2
  • Saturday (April 19) - Time Drops #97: Week of April 20, 2025
Though I've yet to make any progress, I'd still like to cut together an e-book of my
GFT Retrospective reviews through the Dream Eater Saga material, with Zenescope's blessing.

Ticketmaster,
Out.
