Just the Ticket #171: The Substance

Image
by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. The Substantial Ticketmaster. I've been wanting to see The Substance for awhile, but also dreading it for almost as long because movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Beyond the Black Rainbow aren't really my cup of psilocybin tea. However, with Awards Season (when the movies everyone had confidence in last year get the statues they pay for and the movies no one had confidence in this year get dumped in theaters so people can wait for them to be free on Tubi ) building the hype with Demi Moore claiming almost every Best Actress trophy in existence, I had to see if there was anything to the acclaim, or if Flavor Flav was right once again . Believe the hype or don't (artistic quality is usually subjective, after all), but please remember to Become A Ticketholder if you haven't yet, leave a comment at the bottom of this post, help out my ad revenue as you read so I can achieve a better version of myself through hard work, and follow me on Bl...

GFT Retrospective #87: The Dream Eater Saga #7 (Myths & Legends #7)

Image
by Sean Wilkinson, Retrospective Dream er, Myth , and Legend . I'm also incredibly humble and lucky, Ticketholders, because for my 87th edition of the Grimm Fairy Tales Retrospective , I'm reviewing the seventh issue of The Dream Eater Saga , which is also the seventh issue of Myths & Legends ...on the twenty-sixth...which is thirteen twice.... Well, at least it all balances out, and I'm still humble enough to ask that you please Become A Ticketholder if you haven't already, leave a comment at the bottom of this post, help out my ad revenue as you read so I don't get tortured by a witch, and follow me on  BlueSky ,  Tumblr , Reddit , Facebook , and LinkedIn  to like what you see and receive the latest  Grimm  news on my legendary content. The Dream Eater Saga  #7 Myths & Legends  #7 Now that I'm done leaving how lucky I feel up to the whim of numerical superstitions and coin flips, it's time to pay The Piper , or rather, it's time ...

Dragon Blog DAIMA #35: Betrayal & Collar (Dub)

Image
Dragon Ball DAIMA  Episode 19 Review "Betrayal" Article by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. The Mini Animeister I don't have much to say about this episode because it's mostly fighting and I want to give some time later in the post to the cast of the "Collar" dub, as well as put in work on my GFT Retrospective and Just the Ticket posts for later in the week, so please  give me your energy and grant my wish by  clicking the Follow button to Become A Ticketholder for real, commenting at the bottom of this post, helping out my ad revenue as you read so I can keep my eye on the ball, and following me on BlueSky , Tumblr , Reddit , Facebook , YouTube , and LinkedIn to like what you see and receive the latest news on my content. As many fans and viewers (including myself) suspected at the end of "Awakening" last week, the titular "Betrayal" at Glorio's hands this week was in the wish he granted, as Goku, Vegeta, Shin, Piccolo, Dende, and Bulm...

Content Calendar Announcement, Week of February 23, 2025 by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. the Ticketmaster This week, I won't have anything written ahead (I'll be composing and scheduling my posts the day before release) because I'm at the point where I shifted focus to re-watching Fishman Island and writing the One Piece Multi-Piece as I go. Just the Ticket #170: MaXXXine

Image
MaXXXine Review by Sean Wilkinson, a.k.a. The Ticketmaster The movie industry loves alternative history narratives, whether it be Quentin Tarantino vs. Nazis and the Manson Family , Michael Bay and Roland Emmerich hiding evil alien robots on the moon, Marvel's pioneers creating an ageless, super-strong personification of the United States to literally punch Hitler in the face (granted, it was a comic book first, but it eventually became a good movie, too), or the director of Wanted adapting a book where Abraham Lincoln hunted Confederate vampires . Today's movie up for review in the month of female-led Hollywood horror, MaXXXine , almost fit that mold as well, and I can't decide if I'm impressed or disappointed that it didn't go there. Whether you're impressed or disappointed, I'd still appreciate it if you would please remember to  Become A Ticketholder  if you haven't yet, leave a comment at the bottom of this post, help out my ad revenue as you ...

Zenescope - Omnibusted #28: The Dream Eater Saga Volume 1

Image
by Sean Wilkinson, Omnibusted  Dreamer & Ticketmaster The following is a compilation of my reviews for Volume One of The Dream Eater Saga , Zenescope Entertainment 's first big, "let's pare down our Universe" event, introducing an ancient, unstoppable force with the power to wipe entire franchises out of existence, kill the previously unkillable, and give good and evil no other choice than to work together to ensure their own survival. It's why Belinda abducted Sela from Myst , and why Samantha Darren and Baba Yaga were at odds over the fate of Britney Waters (that still feels wrong to me). And thankfully for my word count, the Dream Eater isn't a wholly original concept, so I get to talk about its origins in myth, folklore, and popular culture. In the Pokémon series of games, Dream Eater is an attack used on sleeping Pokémon to heal the user's HP for half of the damage dealt. In the Kingdom Hearts games, Dream Eaters are Darkness-born creatures fro...
