Witches Are Made #15: Iron and Steam

Greetings, Ticketholders and Heromachiners, and welcome to another wiccan exhibition!
Today's character is something I had hoped to include in this year's Steampunk contest, but I pissed around too much with concepts and details before I came up with a design I liked, and I was unable to complete this character in time. I've still gotten some good feedback on her, especially regarding the design of her dress and the incorporation of metal into her clothing.
Last year, I created several characters as part of a Public Domain Literature contest at Heromachine, called the "Gale Force" series, revolving around Dorothy's return to a relatively futuristic Oz, where aliens, extradimensional beings, and advanced technology rule.
Theodora Kindle (my Elemental Fire Witch of a few issues back) was the first step in incorporating characters from my failed "Gale Force" storyline into the Timedrop Comics/Clockwork Universe. Most, if not all, of my Elemental Witches, are part of a new storyline event called "The Wiccan War." It will serve as a precursor to the origins of Mad Jack and Fifth Hour (so you'll finally get to learn what the hell Knavium is!), tie in with the formation of villain teams such as Hit Squad and the Society of Foes, and lead in to the "Invasion" event that brings Prima, Kor Sekra'a, Shin Lao, and Black Marble to Earth.
But the first "Gale Force" tie-in involves Farrah O'Ren, Elemental Witch of Metals and Technology, and creator of the TWM (Tin Woodsmen mechs) and flying monkeys.
Name: Farrah O'Ren
Team Affiliations: The Coven of Iarann
Enemies: Ginger Krieg, Hans & Greta Holz
Race: Human
Birthplace: Dublin, Ireland
Powers/Abilities: Ferro-Knavium skin, Enhanced strength, Ferro-kinesis, Technomancy.
Bio: Farrah O'Ren was born in Ireland to Dutch immigrant parents. Like all Iarann witches (and witches of most covens), she was born with an unusual element in her blood. The Knavium bonded with the iron in her blood, transmuting most of her body's tissues into a highly durable and flexible iron/Knavium alloy and giving her an inherent knowledge of the nature of metals and machinery. But that power would come with a price.
Now basically a machine herself, Farrah understood her true nature and despised her appearance and her mechanical inability to feel. She hides her metallic skin as best she can with flesh-toned prosthetics and a relatively conservative style of dress that is reminiscent of steampunk.
Iaraan Witches are known for their prowess as machinists and military strategists, and like to create their own tools of convenience and war. Among Farrah's creations are the TWM Woodsman mechs and flying monkeys. She has currently incorporated a new version of the flying monkeys' wings and talons into her body for testing purposes.

That's all I have on Farrah at the moment, but stay tuned for more characters from my cranium as I attempt to bring Hansel and Gretel into the story. Linda Norgood (my Water Witch) and Destinee la Mort (my Witch of Fate) are on the back burner for now, but I already have a concept and an intermediate design for Hansel (re-named Hans Holz). Hans and his sister, Greta, will have a dark history involving the Coven of Iaraan and their parents, leading them to become members of the anti-wiccan Society of Foes. But the siblings also share bad blood with Frank Hallows (giving me an excuse to do something with the not-yet-redesigned X-2).

Guess it's time for me to get ready for work now. Have a good day, watch Last Comic Standing, only use the N-word for password purposes, and Never Forget...my breadsticks!

Ticketmaster,
and Joe Machi fan,
out.
