Time Drops #85: Week of December 29, 2024

Article by Sean Wilkinson,
a.k.a. the Ticketmaster

As 2024 rushes to an end, I struggle to figure out what the future will hold for me.
Financially speaking, said future continues to be bright for now. I still have terrible sleep habits, low energy and motivation on the days I don't work, and anxiety about the future, but my work hours have improved, so I'm feeling...better? More essential, maybe?
As for this blog, I'm caught between symptoms of burnout and a compulsion to keep the content flowing as promised, but at the expense of further professional development.
Case in point, I've stalled in my efforts at retooling my resumés (one for the service industry and one for copywriting because I can’t catch a break with the resumé I have now, and it feels like I have to lower my expectations because the job I want doesn't want me), because "I just need to get these last few posts done first, and then I'll get right on it." Unfortunately, those are still the words I'm living by in this year-changing week, as you will see when you get beyond the usual business that follows.
This next part is just a reminder of everything anime-related that I plan to release next year, so skip it if you have it committed to memory by now.
I have the first part of my new Dragon Blog Z What If finished and scheduled for release next April, with a second concept kicking around in my brain, and my other projects still floating in the pipeline, including a work of original fiction, multiple Anime Spotlight and Anime-BAWklog updates, including Natsume's Book Of Friends (which not only dropped its sixth season dub all at once, but started releasing episodes for the seventh season on a weekly basis, giving me a lot to binge when the time comes), and two One Piece Multi-Piece entries now that I've finally finished the Fishman Island arc of One Piece. Expect me to have things to say about it...eventually. Also, I've decided to hold off on the RWBY comics until late 2025, pending the continued occurrence of my life beyond Cloud Nine (which is pink, apparently).

The year-in-content list will make a return at the end of these posts in the new year, once my life begins to feel more stable and certain. In the meantime, please remember to comment at the bottom of this post, Become A Ticketholder because I know you haven't already, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on social media at the links below to like what you see and to receive the latest news on my content and calendars thereof.
Here it is:
  • Monday (December 30) - Dragon Blog DAIMA #31: True Strength
  • Tuesday (New Year's Eve) - State Of the TicketVerse 2024
  • Wednesday (New Year's Day) - GFT Retrospective #85: The Dream Eater Saga #5 (Neverland One-Shot)
  • Thursday (January 2, 2025) - TBT '25 (on Tumblr, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn): Once Upon A Time, Grimm, Mirror, Mirror, and Snow White & the Huntsman
You may have noticed the absence of a Time Drops post on the schedule this week, and that is because I intend to see what the month (and year) ahead have in store for me before committing to any further content.

Though I've yet to make any progress, I'd still like to cut together an e-book of my
GFT Retrospective reviews through the Dream Eater Saga material, with Zenescope's blessing.

I hope you all have a happy New Year!

Ticketmaster,
Out.
