Time Drops #81: Week of December 1, 2024

Welcome to December, Ticketholders!
It's the final month of my twenty-year anniversary as a part of the service industry and the critical content creation community, as well as week three of No Hours & No Analytics Winter.
As a result, I have been forced to apply for financial hardship and delay my gambling debt payoff for two months.
I'm continuing to reduce my content intake down to a movie a week, plus a DAIMA episode and a Zenescope issue, so I just need to stop being disordered and seasonally affected, get my ass out of bed on the five days I don't work now, start preparing in earnest for next year, and use my increased time at home to polish up my job hunting documents in hopes that I can make a late-stage pivot into a career that I love before the written word becomes obsolete and I have even more debt responsibilities on my shoulders.
This next part is just a reminder of everything anime-related that I plan to release next year, so skip it if you have it committed to memory by now.
I have the first part of my new Dragon Blog Z What If finished and scheduled for release next April, with a second concept kicking around in my brain, and my other projects still floating in the pipeline, including a work of original fiction, multiple Anime Spotlight and Anime-BAWklog updates, including Natsume's Book Of Friends (which not only dropped its sixth season dub all at once, but started releasing episodes for the seventh season on a weekly basis, giving me a lot to binge when the time comes), and two One Piece Multi-Piece entries now that I've finally finished the Fishman Island arc of One Piece. Expect me to have things to say about it...eventually. Also, I've decided to hold off on the RWBY comics until next year.

As usual, I will keep up the year-in-content list at the end of these posts going forward, in addition to these weekly announcements. On top of the Fear Street trilogy and the TV series I'm reviewing today, I've also been watching the first season of Yellowjackets on Netflix because Paramount+ (like a broken floor scrubber) has a lot of buffering issues. All three are either set in or flash back to the 90s, and include a lot of the same songs and relationship dynamics (troubled same-sex couple, love triangle, toxic relationship, etc.). So the plot points and characters start to bleed together (heh; horror puns...) after awhile. But that doesn't make them bad products on their own merits. Zenescope - Omnibusted #26: Grimm Fairy Tales TPB Volume 10

As suggested by  Volume Nine , the Grimm Fairy Tales  issues contained in the Volume Ten Trade Paperback will continue to follow the journey of Sela and her companions through Myst. According to the  Zenescope Entertainment Wiki Chronological Reading Order , Volume Ten is also the last before Zenescope's first two big event series ( Myths & Legends  and  The Dream Eater Saga ). And Volume Ten marks the first time since  GFT #49  that an issue (or in this case, an entire Volume of issues) has gone untitled on the credits page.
