Time Drops #75: Week of October 20, 2024
Article by Sean Wilkinson,
a.k.a. the Ticketmaster
Welcome to the week to come, Ticketholders!
October has been rough for the past two weeks thanks to Hurricane Milton knocking out at least two thirds of my usual view count, but we're back. By which I mean the committee of legally distinct Inside Out-inspired Variants of myself that turn the reels of self-defeatist dialogue in my head, because I'm still the only one writing, editing, and promoting this supposedly outdated medium of mine.
That said, I'm keeping up pretty well, and as of this publication, I will be going on my first first date ever, so wish me luck. With the second biggest hurdle behind me (the 1995 Goosebumps show) and the biggest personal hurdle ahead of me (besides driving, clearing my debt, and going to work every day), I've finished watching the ten-episode first season of the Disney+ Goosebumps reboot, begun writing the review, and watched the first movie, which leaves Haunted Halloween. I've already started on my huge Anime-BAWklog, and as you will see below, I've decided to start reviewing Dragon Ball Daima on a weekly basis the Monday after each episode drops.
I have the first part of my new Dragon Blog Z What If finished and scheduled for release next April, with a second concept kicking around in my brain, and my other projects still floating in the pipeline, including a work of original fiction, a Natsume's Book Of Friends Anime Spotlight update (which I'm also pushing back to next year because the sixth season dub just dropped all at once and I'll need to watch it before I do the update), and two One Piece Multi-Piece entries now that I've finally finished the Fishman Island arc of One Piece. Expect me to have things to say about it...eventually. Also, I've decided to hold off on the RWBY comics until next year as well because I've done enough to myself this month, and I've let my hunt for a second job lapse longer than I should.
As usual, I will keep up the year-in-content list at the end of these posts going forward, in addition to these weekly announcements. So please read beyond the weekly content calendar for more information on the year to come, and remember to comment at the bottom of this post, Become A Ticketholder because I know you haven't already, help out my ad revenue as you read, and follow me on social media at the links below to like what you see and to receive the latest news on my content and calendars thereof.
Here it is, with a more long-term focus because keeping goals Timely is part of being SMART:
- Monday (October 21) - Dragon Blog Daima #21: Conspiracy & Glorio
- Tuesday (October 22) - Stay Tuned #55: Goosebumps (Disney+ Season 1)
- Wednesday (October 23) - Zenescope - Omnibusted #24: Grimm Fairy Tales Mother Nature Arc
- Thursday (October 24) - TBT Anniversary (on Tumblr, Reddit, Facebook, and LinkedIn): Bad Santa, The Station Agent, & Epoch: Evolution
- Saturday (October 26) - Time Drops #76: Week of October 27, 2024
- Monday (October 28) - Dragon Blog Daima #22
- Wednesday (October 30) - GFT Retrospective #80: Grimm Fairy Tales Christmas & Halloween (2011)
- Thursday (Halloween) - Just the Ticket #161: Goosebumps Double-Feature
In addition to the List Lookback that I announced in NPO #28, here's what I have definitively scheduled--pending any unforeseen circumstances (like deaths, compromised transportation, financial complications, etc.)--for the year so far (updates pending in future Time Drops as I make more decisions):
- Weekly Regulars:
- GFT Retrospective / Zenescope - Omnibusted
- DB What Ifs / Anime Spotlight / One Piece Multi-Piece
- TBT Anniversary
- Thursday, September 4, 2025 (Jason David Frank's birthday) - Just the Ticket: Legend Of the White Dragon
- Thursday, November 28 - Ticket Stubs: House Of Wax (comparative)
- Thanksgiving - Just the Ticket: Thanksgiving
- Christmas - Just the Ticket: Maniac Cop Trilogy
I would like to get Zenescope's blessing first, but I'm considering compiling my GFT Retrospective reviews so far into an e-book form. Let me know what you think about this idea down below.
Ticketmaster,
Out.
